More Backyard Changes

Shawn and I have been wanting to get some patio furniture for the addtional patio he built.  It's been on our to-do list for a while and now I'm happy to say we finally got some.  I'm so excited with how our backyard is turning out.  I didn't mention it previously, but we recently bought new cushions for our existing patio furniture to brighten it up a bit.  We also got some hanging ferns.  This was the last big item we needed.  We'd still love to get an outdoor rug for under the patio table, but we'll wait until the end of the summer to see if we can find a good deal on one.  Other than that, we hope to continue adding plants to the flower beds each year and we're hoping maybe next year or in the near future to start a vegetable garden in the back too. 

I can't find a picture of what our backyard looked like when we first bought out house.  But there was absolutely no landscaping.  It was all grass with the small piece of concrete, that was it.  I've feel like we've come a long way with it in the last 3 years. 

Now if only it wasn't 100 degrees out everyday (this is the 15th day in a row that we're over 100), we might be able to enjoy our backyard a bit more.  The candle in my lantern has melted, it's so hot.
