April Little Things

We had a jam packed month.  When it wasn't raining, we squeezed in as many sports and outdoor activities as we could!

We sat through many baseball games.  Evan still plays catcher and I just think he's the cutest when he has all his gear on.  I love that #20!

Shawn went to the Master's with Doug, Tommy and Tony.  They got to attend the Monday practice round.

That's Tiger Woods - he ended up winning the tournament this year!
While Shawn was gone, I had Em help me pack lunches for school and work.  When I opened up my lunch bag each day at work, I had the sweetest notes left for me.

We watched a lot of soccer games - but still aren't finished up with the season due to so many rain outs.

We went to Hat Creek with the Terry's one night after soccer practice.  These girls are such close buddies!

Shawn went to FL for a work conference.  He had to fly back early due to bad storms that were supposed to hit us right when he was due to land.

The kids had off several random days this month.  On one of the those days, I stayed home with them and we had Grace join us.  We hit up the mall, Jumpstreet and then had a water balloon fight at home.

Emily had a girl scout outing.  They went to Petsmart and bought supplies with their cookie money to donate to the SPCA.

And to end the month, just a couple of random pics of my favorite girl.

Happy Easter

It was a jam packed Easter weekend!  On Good Friday, we went to Candytopia with Aunt Julie and the girls and then went to lunch.  After lunch we met up with Shawn and Kevin and went to the Yard to hang out and have dinner.

Saturday morning, Evan had a makeup Reading Ranch class, followed by a makeup soccer game and then Em had her makeup soccer game.  We left straight from soccer to head to Burleson to celebrate Easter with Shawn's family.  I took zero pictures. . .but you can be sure there were lots of egg hunts, silly string and confetti eggs involved.

Sunday morning the kids woke up at the crack of dawn to check out their baskets.  I told them they didn't have to wake us before going down.  When we woke up, they got to hunt for the eggs the Easter Bunny had hidden in the backyard.  We followed up the egg hunt by going to Sixty Vines, for brunch with my family.  We ended up running into some of our favorite people.. who happened to have a reservation as well and sat right behind us.  After a few hours of chores at home, we ended up going over to Kevin and Julie's for dinner because the Em and Natty were dying for a playdate.  The kids braved the cold pool while we hung out on the patio enjoying the awesome weather.

The kids had off Monday as well.  Shawn stayed home with them.  They spent most of the day playing catch up on chores at home.  It was a fun, but exhausting long weekend for us!

Candytopia

Julie and I took the kids to Candytopia on Good Friday.  It's in our area temporarily until July.  I'm not sure the best way to describe it, but the kids had a blast.  We walked through several different rooms and each room had a different theme related to candy.  All the rooms also had candy in them for us to eat.  The kids walked away on a sugar high!
