October Little Things

Here are all the little things we were up to in October. . .

Emily continued to cheer at the football games.

Evan played more hockey.  He also got in the penalty box for the very first time.

Shawn and Evan went to 2 Stars game and sat in his companies suite each time.

We got Em's cheer and volleyball pics from school.

Emily finished up her school vball season.  They somehow made the district tournament, but got knocked out in the first round of the tourney.  I think both of us were glad that volleyball was over!

With volleyball over, Em was able to move over to cross country at school.  She missed the 1st race because of volleyball, but got to race in the last 3, including districts.  She did so well.  Her first race she came in 1st in her school and 13th overall.  

We finished up the month with Halloween.  Both kids went trick or treating on their own with friends.  Evan went with his friend, Olivia, and Em went with a big group.  I didn't get a pic of Evan before he left, but he dressed up as a hockey player, while Em was a construction worker.

Emily's Thirteenth Birthday!

Emily turned 13 this year!  Crazy to me that we have an official teenager in the house!  Her birthday fell on a Friday.  She went to the school dance and then we went out as a family to dinner at Maggiano's.

She celebrated with her friends on Saturday night.  She and 6 of her friends went out to dinner at Mi Cocina, followed with shopping at the shops at Watters Creek.  Finally, we finished off the night with cake at home.  She had 1 friend, Skylar, spend the night.
