January
This is always our slowest month of the year. We tend use it to recuperate from the holiday hustle and bustle. We spent a lot of time with friends and even went to the zoo one weekend too. Evan and I continued our my Gym classes while Em continued dance and gymnastics classes. Shawn took Em to another home depot workshop.
February
We celebrated Valentine's Day this month and Shawn attended the kids class parties at school. Shawn took Em to her first Father/Daughter Valentine's dance. We also celebrated Shawn's birthday.
March
In March, Evan moved up to the Early Preschool 1 class at school. Emily began her 2nd year of swim lessons and Shawn and I celebrated our 6th wedding anniversary. We also went to see the circus with some friends.
April
This was a busy month for us. Shawn and I went on a kids free trip to Chicago. We took our annual bluebonnet pictures. We also celebrated Easter in Burleson where we found out Evan had a peanut allergy! Evan also began swim lessons with Shawn.
May
In May we spent a lot of time outside and enjoyed our first swim of the year at Mimi and Papa's house. Em did awesome at her very first gymnastics meet. We attended the kid's Spring Fling at school and also spent a lot of time hanging out with friends.
June
June is always one of our busiest months! We started the month off with Uncle Scott's wedding where Em got to be a flower girl for the first time. Em also finished up her last day of Pre-K 1 and had her second dance recital. We celebrated Evan's second birthday with a fun party at My Gym. Shawn also took Em to his office for "take your child to work day." Emily finished up her swim lessons as well.

July
We had a jam packed month in July. Shawn and my brother took all the girls camping for a night at Lake Texoma. We took the kids to what ended up being a failed attempt at a Roughriders baseball game. Evan went to his first home depot workshop. It was also his last for a while. We went to Plano 4th of July parade with the cousins and then went to Burleson to celebrate with Shawn's family. We also took a week long trip with the cousins and Mimi and Papa to Destin, FL.
August
Emily was a flowergirl in her Godfather, William's, wedding this month. She also finished up her summer cheer class with a pep rally. We did a major home makeover this month and got wood floors and several rooms painted. Both kids moved up at school; Em to Pre-K 2 and Evan to EPS 2. Evan started potty training at school as well.
September
We enjoyed our last swim of the year at Mimi's and Papa's house. Em started dance class up again, this time adding jazz to tap and ballet. She also attended a friend's princess party. We took both kids to the Primrose movie night at the Roughrider's Stadium.
October
This is always another super busy month for us. We took our annual family pictures this month. We also took the kids to the pumpkin patch and the fall festival at school. They trick or treated at my office and with their friends on Halloween. Last, but not least we celebrated Em turning 5! We had a special Mommy, Daddy, Em day and then celebrated later on with friends.
November
Emily had her second gymnastics meet at WOGA. We celebrated Thanksgiving with my family this year. We also went to the Gaylord Texan to see Ice with the cousins.
December
We were busy this month with lots of holiday activities. We started the month off with our North Pole Breakfast welcoming back our elf, Buddy. We had a gingerbread house decorating party and also went to Santa's Village. Em and KK went to breakfast with Santa. We ended the month with lots of family time.
It's been a crazy busy, but fun year! We have another exciting year coming up with some fun trips planned and Em starting Kindergarten and Evan starting Preschool.
