If I had 1 word to describe the month of September it would be BUSY! All the sports/ activities started up and the kids had something practically every night of the week. Here are all the things we were up to in September:
Em had cheer practice at 7:00 am every Thursday and Friday morning during football season.
Volleyball season started. She had practice after school every Monday and Tuesday and games were after school on Thursdays. It was an interesting season, to say the least. Em started off as the libero for her team and after 3 games lost that position and ended up at the end of the bench, with no real explanation as to why. She was very much looking forward to volleyball, so to have it play out like this sure was disappointing, but she put on her best game face and finished out the season.
Em started baking cookies each weekend.
Shawn ad Evan went hunting over Labor Day weekend. Evan shot his first dove!
Dinner our for my bday and this girl ends with a photo shoot for instagram. haha
Not many pics of Evan this month, but he spent a lot of time at the hockey rink. He had enhancements on Monday nights, team practices on Thursday nights and games on the weekends. Unfortunately his team isn't so great, so they haven't won any games yet. But he's still enjoying his time on the ice.
Evan had his last Isbell fun run. It was survivor themed race and they had the Ninja Warrior course there too that they could run through.
Soccer was also in full swing. She had practice every Monday and Wednesday night. If a cheer game conflicted, she'd have to make up the missed practice on Tuesday nights.
I have a fridge calendar and write out all of the kids activities/ games. I don't think our calendar has ever been so full.
Football games were in full swing, which meant Em had to cheer at a game each week, either Monday or Tuesday nights.
Em participated in the student/teacher kickball tournament fundraiser that the PTA put on.
Evan got to go to 5th grade camp at Sky Ranch. They were gone from Wednesday - Friday. He was pretty nervous about going, but was so glad he did. He had a blast.
If Em wasn't busy with a sport, then she was out with her friends. . . watching football games, Urban Air, pool party, etc.
Whew, that was a full month!
