Disney World Trip Day 7 - Chef Mickey's and Saying Goodbye to Disney

Today was our last day in Disney World.  We didn't fly out until late afternoon, but we didn't have park tickets to use.  Instead, I had a reservation at the Contemporary for Chef Mickey's.  We hopped on the monorail one last time and got to go by MK.  It was actually a good day to leave because MK looked PACKED!

Chef Mickey's was my least favorite character meal, however, I think it might have just been due to the time we arrived.  The characters came around so quickly after we got there, we rushed through the buffet and then had a hard time getting our kids to eat.  But they loved seeing all the main characters one last time!

After breakfast we went back to our hotel and were able to get a late check out time, so we let the kids swim for a few hours.  It was a nice / relaxing way to end the trip.  Around lunch time we boarded the Magical Express and made our way back to the airport.  Our flight was about an hour delayed, so we sat and had a long lunch and then made our way to the gate.  We arrived home around 7:00 and were all exhausted!

The building we were in at the Polynesian.

By this time the kids were done with all my pictures.  Who can blame them?

So long Disney World.

It was a great trip and one that I'll remember forever.  My favorite thing was definitely seeing the kids so excited about everything.  While it was fun, it was also the most exhausting trip I've ever been on! I felt like I needed a week off to recuperate.  Ha.  I'm hoping maybe one day we'll be able to take the kids back, but for now we'll just soak up all the memories that we made.

Disney World Trip Day 6 - Animal Kingdom / Epcot

Today was our last full day at Disney and our last day at any of the parks.  This morning we headed over to Animal Kingdom.  I didn't have too much on the schedule this day aside from our 3 fast passes. I figured we would stay as long as the kids wanted to.

The park opened at 9:00 and it was crowded!  We walked along some of the trails first to see some of the animals before heading over to Kilimanjaro Safari to use our first fast pass.  We all enjoyed the safari and were able to see lots of animals.  The line was long, so I'm glad we had a fast pass.  After this, we walked around a few more trails before Shawn and Em used their fast pass for Expedition Everest.  Evan was too small for this ride, so him and I walked over to Dinoland instead.  He could have played in the boneyard forever!

That's a hippo back there.

We met back up with Shawn and Em and stopped to have some BBQ for lunch.  We used our last fast pass to go on Kali River Rapids.   Luckily none of us go too wet.  By now, we were all a bit drained, so we passed on seeing any of the shows and headed back to our hotel instead.

The kids napped and then convinced us to let them swim for a bit before we headed to Epcot for dinner.

It was a nice night out and Epcot didn't seem crazy packed.  We stopped at the butterfly garden and then walked around the other half of World Showcase that we had missed earlier in the week. We had reservations at Via Napoli in the Italy Pavilion and it didn't disappoint.  Pizza and salad hit the spot.  We decided to get some dessert over in France and then stayed until Illuminations started.  We stayed for some of it, but since we had seen it, we left a little early to try and beat some of the monorail crowds.

All the flowers at Epcot were so pretty!

The stroller was a huge lifesaver, but also the cause of a lot of fighting between these two!  They were constantly hitting and annoying each other being so close!

Recap of the Day:
