| It was nice having the kids names on their shirts. All the characters and cast members called them by their names. |
I was so afraid Emily was getting too old for the princesses, but boy was I wrong. She lit up every time they announced a new princess coming into the room. We got to meet Cinderella while we were waiting for our table and then during breakfast met Snow White, Ariel, Aurora and Jasmine. Evan was super shy around the princesses! Even though this meal was pricey, I'm really glad we did it. Emily got a wand, Evan got a sword and both kids got wishing stars. It was nice to be able to order off a menu too after our last few meals were buffets.
Before we left on our trip, I asked each kid who they were most excited about meeting at Disney World. Emily said Ariel and Evan said Elena, the new Disney Jr. princess. I knew we'd meet Ariel at our breakfast, but the only way to meet Elena was to wait in a line. I really didn't want to waste a fast pass on this, so once we got done with breakfast, we hurried to this line and were the very first ones in line! As soon as the park opened at 9:00 we got to go in and meet her. We also got to meet Cinderella, for the 3rd time this trip, because she did her meet and greet with Elena. Evan was sooo excited to meet her.

| You could tell Evan was just there for Elena. :) |
Since we didn't have to wait in line for Elena, we were able to accomplish a few other things with almost no lines. We headed next to Enchanting Tales with Belle. I originally had a fast pass for this, but gave it up in order to get one for Splash Mountain instead. Had we waited until later in the day, the line would have been way too long, but since it was still so early we got to do it. It was really cute. They choose kids from the audience to re-enact the story of Belle and the Beast falling in love. Emily got chosen to play Maurice, the Dad. Evan was too shy to volunteer. Em did awesome. After the play, all the kids got to take a picture with Belle. I believe this is the only place you get to meet Belle at MK, so I'm glad we got to do that. It took some convincing, but even Evan went up and took a picture with her.
There were still almost no lines in the park when we were done with Belle, so we walked right on to Ariel's Under the Sea. I'm not sure how we got so lucky! By now, it was almost time for our fast pass for Splash Mountain, so we walked across the park to ride that. I was not a huge fan of all the drops (I thought there was just 1 going into it), but everyone else loved it, even Evan.
We then walked back over to Fantasyland to ride the teacups and use our fast pass on the Seven Dwarfs mine train. By now we were looking for a bit of a break before our next fast pass, so we happened upon the Carousel of Progress and since there was no line, we checked it out. I thought it was actually pretty interesting. It kept Em's attention and Evan made it about half way through before he lied down on the chair. :)

We split up for our next fast pass. Shawn and Emily headed to Space Mountain and Evan and I headed to The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh. Both rides were a hit with my crew and a good use of fast passes. Now since we had used up all our original fast passes, I could grab others through the app. We stopped for a quick lunch and was able to hop on the app and grab one for Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin. It was a fun ride, but we all loved the one at HS much more. After this, I grabbed another fast pass for the Tomorrowland Speedway. Both kids were super excited to drive us around. And of course we couldn't go to MK without riding Dumbo, so I looked and was able to grab a fast pass for this as well.
Before we went, I asked several people about the Festival of Fantasy parade. Did we really need to see this? It was only at 3:00 each day, which really interfered with our rest time back at the hotel. They assured me we did, so today was the day we skipped naps and watched it. We found spots on the crowded sidewalk about 40 minutes before it started and there are several times we almost left as the kids didn't want to wait and it was so hot! But we stuck it out and they loved it! They got to see tons of characters.
We followed the parade out and headed back to our hotel. That night we had an early dinner at Ohana, which was right at our hotel. This was by far both Shawn's and my favorite meal on the trip. The food was yummy and the atmosphere was nice. They had the kids come up and play games to help entertain them too.
