I don't have too many pictures from this month. Shawn and I are still working from home and virtual school started back up from the kids. Sports have ramped up a bit. Hockey finally started back up for Evan and he couldn't be more excited! We also decided to sign him up for 1 more season of baseball and those practices have started back up.
Here are all the other little things we've been up to this month.
Shawn came up with the idea to have the kids do a cooking challenge and I would pick the winner. Each kid made their own spaghetti sauce, seasoned to their liking. Although both were good and different in their own way, Evan came out the ultimate winner. His had more garlic and I was a fan.
Shawn had a playdate with his friend, Noah, It was the first time he had seen him since March when the quarantine started. They had a good time playing Nintendo and going down by the creek.
Emily had another soccer tournament. It was so hot that weekend! The girls didn't have their best showing, but it was the first time they played in the gold bracket against some really good teams. They won 1, tied 2 and lost 1.
And when their coach thought they didn't play well in the last game and just gave up, she made them run A LOT, during the next practice.
Evan had a writing assignment for school where he had to write about someone special. He chose Shawn. sigh.
Emily went to a soccer skills session and I brought Evan with me to watch and hang out. He found a leaf bug and had the best time playing with it.
We started to remodel the kids bathroom. Shawn did all the demo and then we hired contractors to finish it. More pics to come.
That's all for this month. Hopefully September brings the kids back to school!
