Evan wrapped up 6th grade. I think he really enjoyed his first year of middle school and all the freedom that came with it. He took orchestra and learned how to play the violin. He didn't love all the practicing that was required though, so he won't be continuing with it. He sure did grow much taller this year and I have a feeling next year, he'll pass up his sister in height.

Club soccer kept Emily busy as usual.
We had a total eclipse in our area. It was pretty cool to see!
School soccer wrapped up. I can't say that I was sad to see it end. The refs didn't do a great job at protecting the girls and in 1 game Em ended up in the hospital. Luckily it was just a sprained elbow, but she sure continued to get beat up during each game! Emily had a great season though. She ended the 5 game season with 13 goals. Her team made it to the district tournament, but ended up losing in the first round.
Em got her braces off. Now she has a beautiful smile!
