Em has really been into drawing princesses lately.  I love her little artwork, but her princess artwork is some of my favorite!

I'm A Big Boy Now!

Today was Evan's first day of potty training and wearing big boy underwear at school.  I really wasn't sure what to expect, but he exceeded my expectations.  He wore a pull up in the car to and from school and one at nap time, but other than that it was underwear.  He only had 1 accident all day!  So proud of my big boy.

Made of Sugar and Spice

Last Saturday, Em went to her friend, Morgan's, birthday party at Made of Sugar and Spice in downtown McKinney.  I had never been there before, but it was the cutest party!  All the girls got to pick any dress that they wanted and they each got their hair, nails and makeup done. While they were waiting for their turn, they got to make bracelets, a picture frame and sing karaoke.  After all the girls had their hair and makeup done they put on a fashion show for the parents.  All of the little girls at the party are Em's friends from school.  They are either in her class this year or they were in her class last year.  It's so sweet to see how much fun they all have together.  It's sad that they have all gone to school together for so long and next year they will all being going their separate ways in elementary school.

I only took pictures on my phone and unfortunately they didn't turn out that well, but I still wanted to post them for my blog book.

Interview With Evan - 2 Years Old

I started interviewing Em shortly after she turned 2 and have done it each year on her birthday since. I want to start doing the same thing with Evan.  My plan is to ask him the same 20 questions each year on his birthday. It's fun seeing how his answers will change from year to year. 

This year only I'm going to write down Evan's answer first and then what I think the true answer is in parenthesis, if I think it's something different.

1. What is your favorite color?  Yellow

2. What is your favorite thing to eat for lunch? Mac & Cheese

3. Who is your best friend? Dani

4. What is your favorite toy? Bouncy Balls

5. What is your favorite TV show? Jake and the Neverland Pirates

6. What is your favorite drink? Juice (Evan is not a big fan of juice, he prefers milk or water)

7. What is your favorite movie? Frozen (Baby Einstein Animal Movie)

8. What is your favorite thing to eat for breakfast? Pop tart

9. What is your favorite book? Itsy Bitsy Spider (He loves all books, so this would change on a daily basis)

10. What do you like to take to bed with you at night? Lovey and Paci

11. What is your favorite thing to eat for dinner? Mac & Cheese

12. What is your favorite snack? Graham Crackers

13. What is your favorite holiday? Halloween

14. What is your favorite song? Frozen (Old Macdonald, Baa Baa Black Sheep)

15. What is your favorite outfit? Pajamas

16. What is your favorite animal? Zebra

17. What do you want to be when you grow up? Cupcake (obviously Evan didn't understand this question.  I don't know what the answer would be)

18. What is your favorite game? Frozen CD (Animal game on Mommy's phone)

19. What is your favorite thing to do outside? Bounce House

20. What is your favorite thing about school? Bubbles

A Boy And His Dog

These toy dogs have been a long time favorite toy in our house.  Evan loves pulling his puppy around behind him. Both kids have one and often times when Evan plays with his, Em will go get hers.  I remember doing a similar post about Em and her puppy back when Em was a little younger than Evan is now.

She sure has grown up a lot since the last puppy post!

Notice Em's puppy has a band aid on her paw?  It's something Em did a long time ago and now it's stuck.  Well if you look above at Evan's puppy, he added a band aid to his too.  :)
