Disney Cruise Vacation Day 6: Clearwater, FL

We were up bright and early on Friday because sadly, it was time to get off the boat.  We had to be at breakfast at 8:00 am and leave the boat by 9:00 am.

We went through customs and then rented a car for the day.  Even though we got off the boat today, we didn't have a flight out until the next morning.  We were flying out of the Tampa airport, so we made plans to drive to Clearwater, FL and go on a dolphin cruise.  It was really fun.  We saw a ton of dolphins right up close.

After the cruise we made our way to our hotel right at the airport and had dinner and called it a night.  We had another 6 am flight out on Saturday morning.

We flew out on St. Patty's day, so the lights were green in our airplane.

Disney Cruise Vacation Day 5: Day at Sea

Thursday was our last full day of the cruise and we spent it at sea.  I actually wish we had more days at sea because I felt like there was so much on the boat that we didn't have time to even see.  We started off the morning with the princess gathering.  The kids were able to meet all of the princesses on board at one time.

We also ran across Jake and Evan wanted to meet him.  By now Em was over the characters.

After all our meet and greets we headed up to the pool for a bit.  We made sure to take another spin on the Aqua Duck too.  We fed the kids lunch by the pool too because we were able to make brunch reservations at Palo this day, but it's an adult only restaurant.  So while we stuffed ourselves at brunch, the kids went to play at the kids club for a bit.

We picked the kids up from the kids club and once again headed back to the pool.  We spent the rest of the afternoon there until it was time to go get ready for the show and dinner.  Tonight the show was Beauty and the Beast.  We had heard that it was the most popular show so we arrived early in order to get a good seat.  I'm glad we did because the show was great!  All of the kids really enjoyed it.

In between the show and dinner, we snuck in a few more pictures.  We had to make sure we took advantage of our photo package.  :)  Tonight's dinner was at Animator's Palate.  I had heard fun things about this restaurant so I was excited to try it out.  There were TV screens all around with turtle talk with Crush.  Unfortunately we didn't get next to a TV, so it wasn't quite as fun for us.  After the kids ate, the girls decided they wanted to go to the kids club, so off they went, while Evan decided he wanted to stay with us.  We finished up dinner and then went to pick up the girls.  The very last event of the night was a See Ya Real Soon party where all  the characters were available one last time for pictures.  Evan had been wanting to meet Donald all trip, but we had kept missing him.  Luckily we were able to catch him this night.

Disney Cruise Vacation Day 4: Castaway Cay

Today was the day I was most looking forward to.  I had heard so many great things about Castaway Cay and it definitely lived up to my expectations!  Once again we started our morning off by eating breakfast on our balcony before getting off the boat in Castaway Cay.  We made sure to stop at some of the many photo ops as we got off the boat.  Shawn and Emily had a 10:00 reservation to go parasailing while the rest of us walked to the beach to find chairs for the day.  Along our walk we came across a ton more characters, so of course we had to stop!

These were the 2 troublemakers of the group!

We spent all day on the beach and swimming in the ocean.  They had a really yummy BBQ buffet set up so we made sure to stop and get some of that for lunch too.  The ocean was a little chilly, but that definitely didn't stop the kids.  I'll admit I was pretty sad when it was time to board the ship.

After we got on the boat, we convinced Evan to take a nap.  He was exhausted from the late nights we had been having.  Since he fell asleep we decided to skip the show this night.

Every Disney cruise has 1 pirate night during the trip and tonight was our night.  We kicked off the night with a pirate party on the pool deck.  Not going to lie, it was freezing cold!

This night we got the great idea to feed the kids early and then take them to the kids club while we went to dinner.  We fully enjoyed a quiet dinner.  When we picked them up from the kids club, Shawn took Evan back to the room for bed and I took Em up to the pool deck to watch the Pirate night fireworks.
