Happy Easter

We split Easter weekend between both families, just like we always do.  On Saturday, we went down to Burleson and celebrated with KK.  Of course there was confetti eggs and silly string involved.

The Easter Bunny visited Sunday morning and the kids were so anxious to see what was left in their baskets.  This was the year of squish mallows and fidgets.

We met my parents and Kevin and Julie for brunch on Easter morning and then we hung out a bit afterwards at Grandscape.

March Little Things

March. . .a full year since Covid first hit.  It's crazy to think that it has been a year!  Shawn and I are still working from home the majority of the time.  We're hoping we can get vaccinated soon.  I feel like things are slowly starting to turn a corner.

Here are all the things we were up to in March. . .

It was twin day at school and Em and Haleigh dressed alike.  Em snuck a picture while they were at school.

Em and Natty went to go see a movie. . in the theater!  It's been over a year since the last time she's done that!

Evan and Shawn went to KK's one day and went out to lunch.  Evan sent Em this picture to make her jealous.  Ha

We had a crawfish boil.  I think the last one was 6 years ago.

Emily has been doing extra skills training twice a week since October.  She has come so far since she started.  Along the way, several from her team have joined her.  Here is the group after 1 of the classes.

Each year the 5th graders get to go camp for a few days.  This year because of covid, they didn't get to go.  Instead they got to go spend 1 full day at Camp Jolt.  It was disappointing that they couldn't go to overnight camp, but I'm glad they still got to do something.  Her teacher took lots of pictures for us, so we could follow along with all the activities.
