July Little Things

Here are all the little things we were up to in July:

July 1 was signing day.  It's Emily's 6th year on the Renegades.

Shawn took these 3 girls over to Grandscape.

We celebrated 4th of July with friends.  Evan helped make a festive dessert.

Evan started invisalign.

Emily's soccer team had their signing day party at Activate Games.  I got all the girls a personalized makeup bag with a bunch of items inside.

They followed up their signing day party with a week long fitness camp.

Boston - Day 7

Friday we left the Cape and headed back to Boston.  We dropped KK off at the airport and then headed back to the Hilton Canopy for 1 more night.  We had tickets to the Red Sox game that night.

We didn't fly out until later on Saturday, but unfortunately, it was raining the whole day, so we weren't able to get out and explore much on our last day.   We just took our time getting ready and then ate at a restaurant right by our hotel before heading to the airport.

Cape Cod - Day 6

Thursday we took the fast ferry over to Nantucket for the day.  This was the first time I had been here, but it's definitely a place I'd like to go back to.  I think I'd like to stay on Nantucket for a few days to check out more of the island.

We ate lunch once we arrived and then walked around all the cute shops.  We grabbed a bus to Sconsett and walked the Sconsett bluff.  The path went all along the water and right in the back of many of the houses.  It was such a nice area, but gosh, it was just so hot.

We stopped for some ice cream before catching the bus back to the ferry.  We went to a couple more shops while the boys found a place to sit and have a drink before it was time for the hour ride back.

We stopped for dinner once we got back to the Cape and then called it a night.

Cape Cod - Day 5

Wednesday we drove to Provincetown and ate lunch right on the water before boarding a whale watching tour.  This was a highlight of the trip for me.  Our guide said we saw the most whales she had seen in a long time.  At one point there were 8 humpback whales right by our boat.  We also saw several dolphins as well.   It was neat to see them up close.  It's crazy just how big the whales were too.

On our way back from Provincetown, we stopped at the Lobster boat for dinner.  Shawn and I ate here my first trip to the Cape.  In fact, it was the first time I had ever had lobster too.  So of course we needed to bring the kids back here.  After dinner, we decided we weren't ready for the fun to end, so we stopped for some miniature golf.

It was a long, fun day, but we were all exhausted by the time we got back to the house!
