Soccer Tournament in Tulsa, OK

Emily's soccer team had a tourney in Tulsa the weekend before Thanksgiving.  Emily and I made the trek out there while Shawn and Evan stayed back.  Her team hasn't been playing all that well, so I wasn't quite sure what to expect.  The lost the first game, but then tied the second.  With the tie, they ended up moving to the semi finals.  They won that game, so on to the finals they went.  Unfortunately, there was a huge time gap between the semis and finals so we did a lot of waiting around on Sunday.  The finals wasn't until 6:00.  I ended up booking an extra night because I didn't want to be driving home in the dark.  The finals game ended with a 0-0 tie which means it went to PK's.  Her team ended up losing in PK's, but I sure was proud of how they played.  They ended up coming home with a silver medal and had a great weekend bonding together as a team.

Shawn's Fishing Trip

Shawn went to the Gulf again this year for a fishing trip.  This time the group was much bigger.  It sounds like they had a great time.

October Little Things

Here are all the little things we were up to in October:

Emily had her first choir concert.

Evan left lego creations all over the house.

Emily's soccer season continued and they finally won a league game.

Evan's hockey team started their season.  Evan was so excited when he scored his first goal.  Whenever they get their first goal, the coach gives them a game puck.  He is absolutely loving hockey and gets a little better with each game.

Emily had her first middle school dance.  It was a Halloween theme, so she dressed up as a cowgirl and went with friends.

Natalie invited Em to go to the pumpkin patch with her.

The kids went trick or treating with neighbors.
