Happy 4th Of July!

This year, we continued our 4th of July tradition and went to the Plano parade this morning.  We met my parents and Kevin and Julie at the parade.  All 3 girl's were decked out in their 4th of July attire.  The parade is definitely your average neighborhood parade.  No big floats or anything like that.  Just firetrucks and trucks pulling people and things like that.  Even though it's small,  we all fully enjoyed it.  There were a ton of people out watching it  . . even though it was HOT!!  We were all sweating after just an hour.  Emily's favorite part was pointing out each of the trucks that were in the parade, saying each one was Daddy's truck. 

After the parade we went home and had a relaxing afternoon.  I think we were all worn out after a busy weekend on the go.  Emily even took a 3.5 hour nap! 

No firework shows for us this year.  It's just so hard when they don't start until 9:30 or so.  That's way past Em's bedtime.  And after being up late Saturday and Sunday, we knew there was no way she could make it up late another night.  I really think she would have loved seeing them, so I'm sad we couldn't go, but I think next year will be a better year to watch them.
