Busy, Busy, Busy

I decided to still do a post about our weekend, even though I only have a couple of phone pics to go with it.  Knowing I wouldn't be able to upload any from my camera, I didn't even take any.

We had a busy weekend!  I got some "me time" and Shawn and Emily got in lots of Daddy/Daughter bonding time.  Saturday morning, while I got my hair done (I got it chopped - 3 inches cut off!), Shawn and Emily ran lots of errands.  They hit up their favorite store, Home Depot, and then went to Calloways to buy some more plants for the backyard.  I got home early afternoon and Shawn headed out the door to help his friend with some home improvement projects at his house.  About an hour after I got home, I had to wake Emily up from her nap to go to a birthday party.  One of the little boys in her daycare class invited us to his b-day party at the Little Gym.  I thought it would be fun seeing her interact with her friends.  There were 7 kids there from her daycare and lots of other kids.  Emily had a ball.  And I could tell just in the few months since we've been to Little Gym how much more she can do.  She loved the air mat this time (something she was normally scared of during classes) and also hung onto the bars (another thing she wouldn't do during classes).  After the birthday party, we met Daddy and his friend (and his 1 year old son) for dinner at Campisi's.

Sunday was just as busy for us.  I was able to enjoy some more "me time" and went with my friend Courtney to see the movie, Horrible Bosses.  We went to The Cheesecake Factory afterwards for some mimosa's and brunch.  I had never had their brunch before, but the french toast I got was so yummy!  While I was enjoying some girl time, Emily and Daddy went grocery shopping and ran more errands.  After her nap, we all went over to my parent's house to swim and celebrate my brother's birthday.  I didn't take any pics this time, but I took some when we went to my parent's a couple of weeks ago and never shared them.
