Happy 21 Months!

Here's what's happening with Emily at 21 months:

 - She wears a size 4 diaper.

 - She wears size 5 shoes and size 12-18 month clothes.  She can fit into some 18-24 month clothes, but not many.

 - She's continuing to add to her vocabulary each day.  She's getting really good at phrases!  She'll say nigh nigh (night, night), "where did it (or Dada) go," "this is mine," "what is that?"

 - She can jump.  She's been trying to jump for months now, but couldn't really get off the ground.  Now she's a jumping machine.  She loves to hop.

 - She loves to ask for Mimi and Papa each day.

 - She knows who everyone in our families are and can say a lot of their names.

 - She can walk backwards.

 - She loves trying to do a forward roll.  She can still kind of falls off to the side though instead of all the way over.

 - Lately, she has been insisting on rocking before bed.  Bedtime is definitely harder than it used to be.  She's learned how to stall.

 - She's become quite attached to her blanky and baby that she sleeps with at night.  She insists on carrying it around the house with her during the day.

 - She still cries during drop-off at school if 1 particular teacher is there in the morning.  She loves 2 of her teachers, but she has 1 that she's not a big fan of.  That's the teacher that's there in the mornings.

 - Daddy is still her favorite person (by far!)  The first thing she says to me when I wake her up each morning is "Where's Dada?"

 - We've had to use time-out much more this last month, then the previous month.

 - She loves to sing E-I-E-I-O.

I can't believe only 3 more months until she's 2!  We've got a big surprise for Em on Saturday to celebrate her turning 21 months.  Stay tuned to find out what it is. . .
