Almost a year ago, we booked another Disney cruise with our friends, the Gists. We decided this time to keep it a secret and surprise the kids right before we leave. I had originally planned to wait and tell the kids the day before we left, but after realizing just how much packing we would have to do, we decided to tell them the weekend before instead.
We went over to swim and have dinner with our friends and I brought along a cookie cake that revealed the surprise. I think the kids were definitely surprised. Now we just needed the last few days of school to end and to get everyone packed before we could leave.
