Christmas Book Countdown

It lieu of a traditional advent calendar this year, I thought I would try out an idea I saw on Pinterest. I bought 24 holiday / Christmas themed books and wrapped them all up.  Each night, Emily gets to unwrap a new book to read before bed.  I wrapped "Twas the night before Christmas" in a separate paper, so I knew to save it for the 24th night.  Saturday night was our first night to start counting down. 

Em was pretty excited about the idea and had a hard time choosing which one to pick.  She loves reading books, so I knew she would enjoy this.
