Saturday

We had a busy Saturday.  I got my hair done first thing in the morning, so Shawn and Emily had some father/daughter bonding time (actually I think she slept most of the time I was gone).  When I got home we cheered on our favorite red raiders to victory.  Leah was kind enough to let us borrow her Tech cheerleading outfit.  It seems to be much better luck than the Cowboys cheerleading outfit.  Thanks Leah!

When Emily woke up from her afternoon nap, we headed down to Burleson to celebrate Shawn's nephews 3rd birthday.  On our way to his brother's we stopped by Shawn's mom's house to visit for a bit.  Emily had so much fun playing with the dogs.  She couldn't get enough of them and they just cracked her up.  Emily hit another big milestone, she can now stand completely on her own for about 15-20 seconds.  She can't get up to standing on her own, but she was trying soo hard.  Today was the first time she has really shown a lot of interest in wanting to stand and try to walk.  She can walk pretty far as long as I hold on to 1 of her hands.  After today, I think there might be a good chance she'll be walking by her birthday.

Emily had a ton of fun at the birthday party.  There were a few other babies there her age, which made it really fun.  She LOVED the balloons.  We'll have to remember that for her party.   She stayed out way past her bedtime, but overall she did really well!
