June continues to be a jam packed month for us! This weekend Em wrapped up another year of dance. I feel like the year has gone by so quickly that I can't believe it's already time for another recital. She has literally been looking forward to today since the day after her dance recital last year. Em's class was a 3-4 year old class and was a combination of ballet and tap. They just did a tap number for the recital though. It was to a really cute Shirley Temple song called "Oh my Goodness."
Em did great during the recital. She was right in the middle and next to her friend, Aubrey. I could tell she spent a little bit of time searching for us in the audience, but once she found us it was like she was dancing just for us. She smiled big and got all her moves down correctly. I was so proud of her. I love watching her do something she loves. Now we're taking a break from dance for the summer, but she'll start up again in August in the 4-5 year old class. It's the last combination class they have. It's ballet, tap and jazz.

We aren't allowed to take any pictures or video during the actual recital, but we can take some during the rehearsal, which is the Thursday before the show. You'll notice Em doesn't have gloves on in her pics below. ..that's because I totally forgot them in the car. In fact, I didn't even realize we forgot them until I saw her up on stage practicing. Oops. Good thing it was just the rehearsal. I made sure she had them for the actual recital!

It's been so much fun watching her in dance the last 2 years. It's fun to think about how long she'll keep up with it.
