Merry Christmas

We started off our morning fairly early.  Em woke up around 6:45 and Shawn, Em and I sat in the game room waiting for Evan to wake up.  I'm pretty sure he would have slept later, but I think our talking finally woke him up around 7:15.  Daddy headed downstairs and the rest of us followed.  Em was super excited and couldn't wait to see what Santa had brought her.  She immediately noticed Evan's toys and was just as excited about all of them!  Then she made her way over to her pile.  Evan was super excited about his tunnel and his basketball hoop.

Em's big gift was a bitty baby.  Along with that she got a sleeping bag, hula hoop, suitcases for all of bitty baby's clothes, games, legos, books, a soccer charm, bubble bath, etc.

I hardly wrapped any of Evan's gifts.  Most were just left out - a tunnel, train track, basketball hoop and power wheels.  Other than that, he mainly just got books.

He quickly figured out how to work his power wheels.  The only problem is he hasn't mastered steering so there's a lot of us moving him when he gets stuck.  Now he's trying to figure out how to make it move while standing up. 

Papa Mike came over for coffee in the morning and we spent the rest of the morning opening gifts and having breakfast.  Shawn surprised me with lots of new clothes this year.  I have to admit that I was impressed by his shopping skills.  He got me 4 new tops and they were all ones that I kept!  Shawn got clothes from me and the kids as well.

Around 10:00 we headed over to my parent's house to have lunch and open more presents.  By now Evan wasn't too interested in opening presents, so I opened 1 gift that I knew he would love.  Kevin and Julie got him a Dyson vacuum.  He spent the rest of the morning vacuuming all of Mimi's house.  I'm hoping this toy vacuum might help ease his fear of the real vacuum.

We were all spoiled by Mimi and Papa and after opening gifts we all enjoyed some lunch before heading back to our house for naps.  All 4 of us took a long, much needed nap!

After naps, we woke up and got dressed and headed over to my cousin, Patti's house for dinner and more presents!

 It was a fun and jam packed Christmas Day!  Glad we don't have to do it again for another year!  Haha.
