This year for Christmas Eve we got to spend it with my side of the family. Normally we reserve Christmas Eve for Shawn's Dad, but this year we were able to spend it with my family instead. My cousin, Cathy, hosted my whole family for dinner at the restaurant, One 2 One. We had a private room setup just for us. It worked out perfect because then Evan could just run around. The only bad thing was that he quickly figured out where the door was and tried all night to make a break for it. Shawn and I spent much of the evening chasing after him and trying to guard the door. We had a nice time at the restaurant but before long it was time to head back home and put out milk and cookies for Santa and food for the reindeer.

I was afraid it might take Em a while to fall asleep, but luckily she was pretty worn out after dinner, that I think she fell asleep as soon as she hit the pillow. Then it was time for Santa to arrive!
