According to the week's weather forecast, Tuesday had the lowest chance of rain, so we decided this would be the best day to go to the San Diego Zoo.
We got there about an hour after after it opened and the crowds weren't too bad at all. It was cold and cloudy, but no rain. I heard the lines usually got long for the skyfari as the day went on, so we went here first and rode it to the back of the park and then worked our way towards the front. We ended up staying at the zoo for about 5 hours. It was a huge park. Our legs were all sore by the time we left, but I think we saw just about every animal. I was bummed that we had just missed the pandas before they went back to China, but we still saw everything else. My favorite was the orangutans. It did drizzle on and off throughout the day, but thankfully, it never got too heavy.
We headed back to the hotel for a bit to rest before dinner. But not before taking a quick pit stop to go get some frozen yogurt for a snack. We went to a seafood place down in the seaport village by the USS midway. We had plans to tour that the following day.
