Hollywood, FL Trip - Day 3: A Beach Day

Wednesday we planned on spending the whole day enjoying the beach and the pool.  Once again, we were up early and headed straight out to the beach.  The kids hunted for more seashells.

After lunch the kids swam at the pool for a bit.  By this time the sand on the beach was just getting so hot!  It wasn't any fun to walk on.  Evan was getting pretty tired by early afternoon, so him and I headed up to the room so he could nap and Shawn and Em rented a jet ski.  It sounds like they had a blast.  They got to see a manta ray swimming right under them.

When they got off the jet ski, they came up for some naps too.  We all needed some rest after a full day in the sun.  We had dinner reservations that night for a nice restaurant right on the canal.  When we finished dinner, we walked over to the boardwalk and got some ice cream and then took some pics on the beach.

I had to post this next set of pictures solely because of Evan. . .watch and see what happens over the next few pics.

Haha

"Hey, Evan, take a picture with the mermaid."

"Okay."

On a whim, when we got back to our hotel, we noticed a new outdoor seating area, so we decided to check it out and have a drink.  They told us it was their first night open and they served food too, so we decided we'd come back the next night for dinner.
