We headed to the airport early Monday morning to head to Hollywood, Florida. The kids were super excited and couldn't wait to get there.
I sat with both kids and Shawn sat across the aisle from us. Luckily both kids did great on the flight. They watched movies on the Ipad the whole time and Evan even fell asleep the last 45 minutes of the flight.
We got our rental car and stopped for a quick lunch and made a Target run for some groceries and then headed to our hotel. I took the kids outside to see the beach and the pools while Shawn was checking in and they couldn't believe we were actually staying there. They thought it was the nicest place ever!

| Checking out the view from out balcony. |
 |
| There was a sand bar pretty far out which means both kids could swim far and still touch. |
We unpacked a bit and put our swimsuits on and headed to the pool. We still had most of the afternoon, but decided to wait until the next day to go to the beach.
 |
| There was a big mirror by the elevators and I started taking family selfies in it each day. |
 |
| Both kids loved the splash pad area. Although by the end, Evan wasn't loving the big bucket of water that would spill out. |
 |
| Evan loved the coconut trees. He was trying to climb them in this picture. |

| Em showing me how much she loves Florida. |
After several hours at the pool, we headed back upstairs to change and go out to dinner. The resort had several restaurants on the property, so this night we hit up the burger place.

| Another family selfie. |
It was a great way to end our first day. We couldn't wait to hit the beach the next day and go on our first excursion.
