A couple nights ago I was sitting on the couch and Em came over to me:
Em: "I was looking at the calendar for school tomorrow and it says we're supposed to bring a coloring book for during naptime. We don't have to nap, we just get to color."
Me: "Em, I'm a lot smarter than you think I am."
Em: "Ok, maybe it doesn't say that."

Em stayed home from school yesterday because we thought she might be sick. Shawn took her to the dr. and he said it's just bad allergies. Anyways, later that night Shawn was getting on to Em because he asked her several times not to jump on the couch and she wasn't listening:
Em: "Daddy, you can't yell at a sick kid."
Shawn: "sick?"
Em: "well, maybe I'm not sick."
Shawn: "So then I guess I can yell at you for not listening."
