Happy Easter

Both kids woke up Easter morning to baskets left by the Easter Bunny.  Em still wasn't feeling great, but she wasn't running a fever, so that was good.

Emily was so excited when she saw the Elsa and Anna doll. She couldn't believe the Easter Bunny knew she had been wanting them. I bet the Easter Bunny had to search high and low to find that Elsa Doll! Who knew they were sold out everywhere!

She also got her own umbrella, something she's been asking for. I didn't realize having your own umbrella was so important, but apparently it is. :)

And of course Evan got several Mickey things, including this Mickey doll that sings the Hot Dog Dance!

You know I can't resist coordinating brother/sister pj's!
We had plans to go to my Aunt's house early afternoon.  Since Em still wasn't feeling great, we decided that her and Shawn would stay home and me and Evan would go.   I put Evan down for an early nap around 11:50 and hoped he would nap until around 1:30.  Well, he had other plans.  He did everything, but nap. . read books, sang songs, talked.  :(  So about 1:15 I decided it was hopeless and just got him up and ready to go.

I tried really hard to get a good picture of him.  He looked so cute.

Unfortunatley he thought it was more fun to just run away from me.  :(

Doesn't he look so innocent in this picture?

He had to bring both of his Mickey's in the car with us.

Surprisingly, Evan did pretty well at my Aunt's despite the lack of nap.  However, he seemed to be more full of energy than ever.  He was a wild man to say the least.  I think having a large audience seemed to egg him on.  As I said to my Aunt, I would totally understand if you never invite us back. . haha.

Just like Saturday, the day just didn't pan out like I had hoped.  I was bummed that Em missed out on Easter (and didn't even get to wear the new Easter dress I got her. :(  ).  Hopefully next year we can make up for this Easter!

And just because I love looking back at prior years. . it's crazy how much these 2 have grown since last year!  But at least I can still get them to wear the coordinating jammies.  :)  I'm sure my time is limited on that.

They sure have grown up a lot since last year!  A lot has changed. . .with the exception of the coordinating pj's.   Those will continue as long as these 2 let me.  :)
