San Antonio Trip Day 2 - Floating the Lazy River

Tuesday morning started early.  I think my kids and Grace were up around 6:30 - 7:00.  The Hendricks were lucky and got to sleep in.  We originally had planned to go to Sea World this day, but after seeing the resort we decided to push that to Wednesday and spend the day at the lazy river instead.  Luke went out and got breakfast tacos for everyone and the kids spent the morning playing.  With 6 adults and 5 kids it took quite a while to get us all ready and out of the condo.

Evan was able to get his morning nap in.  He wasn't too fond of the pack and play though and ended up napping in the bed with Daddy instead.

I think we finally made it out around noon and we headed down to the lazy river.  This was by far my favorite place at the resort.  I literally could have floated on the lazy river all day!!  We set up shop at a table on the patio area and it was a perfect spot.  It was right at the entrance of the lazy river and it was right next to the beach area, which the kids loved!  I might mention too that it was right next to the bar.  :)   All the kids loved the lazy river and it was really nice because the water was extremely shallow at the entrance to the river and even on the river itself, it never got super deep.  The babies could easily sit in the water near the entrance and Leah and Em could even reach in some places on the river.  We had Leah and Em in their puddle jumpers and they loved having the freedom to just swim around. 

We spent all afternoon at the lazy river, taking turns watching babies and floating.  It was so relaxing!   We ate lunch down by the river and Grace and Evan even took naps outside. . Grace in her stroller and Evan on my lap.

After a fun day at the river, we headed back to our condo to bathe the kiddos and have dinner.  Luke and Steph treated us all to dinner this night. . .BBQ!

After putting the babies to bed, us girls decided to take Em and Leah out for some special treats that night, while the boys stayed back with the babies.  Each night at the resort, they have smores and movies on the lawn.  Em and Leah loved roasting smores!  They were messy, but really yummy.  After smores we checked out the movie on the lawn.  It was one I had never heard of, so we only stayed a little bit before heading back to the condo.  The girls had another sleepover on the pull out couch and once again we all sat out on the balcony before heading off to bed.  Poor Evan had a bit of a rough night this day as he had developed a bad cough and ended up throwing up in his pack and play.  This ended up being his first night of many to sleep in our bed (something we'd regret once we got home!).
