Things to Remember

Just a few random things I want to remember (since I'm not doing the monthly posts anymore). . .

 - Emily has said good-bye to her highchair.  She's been sitting in her booster seat at the kitchen table for about a month now, but we just now put the highchair up in the attic for good.

 - Em has learned to make "funny faces."  She asks us to make one at her now too.

 - Just out of the blue, she will run up to us and in a deep voice say either "I need chapstick" or "I need candy."  We caught it on video.  The way she says it just cracks us up.

 - Emily knows Daddy's name is Shawn and my name is Jennifer.

 - Em knows her right from her left.

 - Her song list continues to grow.  This girl can probably sing all the words to at least 10 songs or so.

 - She knows all her shapes and colors.

 - She still consistently goes to the bathroom on the potty.  We're still working on her telling us she has to go though instead of us having to ask her.  She is getting better though.  And she may or may not be getting panties from Santa.  Until then, it's pull-ups still.

 - Last month, Em had her first real baby-sitter (besides a family member or close friend).  Her teacher from school came over one Sat. night while Shawn and I went out to dinner.  We'll definitely be using her again soon!

 - She wants to do everything herself.  When you try to help her with something, she says "no, my do it."
