Weekend Wrap-up

It was another quiet weekend here.  Shawn spent Saturday afternoon working in the yard and I stayed in and played with Emily.  Emily woke up with a really runny nose Saturday morning and just didn't seem to be herself.  She slept much of the day.  Saturday night, I was able to escape for a girl's night out.  I had so much fun going out with my friends!  It totally re-energized me and made me realize I need to plan more girl's night out.

Here are a few pics of Emily from Saturday afternoon.

Sunday morning Emily slept in a little bit (til almost 7:30!).  She was still not feeling well though. Her nose was so runny and she was drooling like crazy.  She pretty much had no appetite for solid food.  So she mainly just stuck to her having bottles.  I was able to sneak out for a few hours though and go shopping with my mom.  It was tax-free weekend and yet I still ended up only buying things that were still charged tax.  I did get her Halloween costume though which I'm super excited about.  You'll only have to wait 2 more months to find out what it is.  :)  When I got home from shopping Shawn told me Emily looked like she had pink eye.  And after reading about it in Baby 411 (our go-to book), it did indeed seem like she had pink eye.  Both of her eyes were red all around and she had some green goop coming from the corners of her eyes.  And she had been rubbing them like crazy.  After reading a bit more, we saw that many times sinus infections and ear infections accompany pink eye.  Which may explain her fussiness as well as all the green snot.  So now the plan is for me to stay home tomorrow and take her in to see the dr.  I'm just really hoping if she does indeed have pink eye, that Shawn and I don't get it.  Although I'm not sure how we would escape it when she's been burrowing her head into both of us all weekend.  Her germs are all over us.

Here are some pics from Sunday.  I love her little chunky legs!

These next several are for my Aunt Ann.  She loves playing with the stroller you got her!

I know, she looks so sick in this picture.  But at least I was still able to get a few smiles.
