Sick Day

I stayed home with Emily today to take her to the dr. this morning.  She looked awful this morning when she woke up.  Both of her eyes were almost matted shut with green goop and her nose was all snotty and crusted over.  Poor Baby!  I called as soon as they opened this morning and we were able to get in to see the dr. by late morning.  We had thought it was pink eye, but thankfully it's not (as that is super contagious).   Instead she ended up with a double ear infection and eye infection.  It's the same diagnosis we got at her 6 month checkup.  So we're back on the amoxicillion and eye drops.  I've given her the first dose already and I can say is 4 months makes a huge difference.  I struggled a bit when she was 6 months to take the medicine (which I got flavor added to) and put the eye drops in her eyes, but now at almost 10 months, I literally have to hold down with all my weight just to get her to take the medicine.  Let's not even talk about the eye drops since she squeezes her eyes shut with all her might.  We'll be lucky if half the medicine actually makes it in them.  Hopefully the next 10 days go by fast!

We were going to watch a movie this afternoon on her sick day, but Emily couldn't make up her mind about which one she wanted to watch.
