NYC Trip Day 2

We hit the ground running early Tuesday morning.  There was still so much we wanted to show the kids!

We hit up Macy's first.  I wanted to show KK just how big it was.

We thought the wood escalators were neat.

Then we took the subway downtown to hit up the sights there.  We started at the Oculus and then walked to the 9/11 Memorial.

We hopped back on the subway and headed over to Wall street to see the NYSE and the charging bull before stopping for some lunch.

After lunch we made our way to Battery Park and took the ferry over to Liberty Island to see the Statue of Liberty up close.  We had tickets to go into the museum and climb up to the platform.  We skipped the stop at Ellis Island due to time.

We let the kids ride the Sea Glass Carousel in Battery Park afterwards.  It was such a fun carousel.  Then we all needed a much needed break, so we sat in a beer garden for a bit before hopping on another subway train and going to China town and Little Italy.  We found a super yummy restaurant in Little Italy for dinner and walked around and had gelato for dessert before calling it a night.

This girl was in heaven with all the Italian food we ate.

It was another really hot day, so we were all worn out, but I was so glad we were able to fit in so much.
