Evan was up bright and early Easter morning. He woke up around 4:50, to which I told him that it was still the middle of the night and go back to bed. Luckily he fell back asleep, but was up for good around 6:30 which is pretty early for him. We brought him in bed with us and let him watch a movie until he started begging to go downstairs around 7:30. Of course when Evan decides to get up early, Em decides to sleep in. I kept him upstairs until about 7:45 before I finally told him to go in and wake Em up so they could see what the Easter Bunny brought them.
They were both super excited to see what was in their basket and also to hunt for eggs. Since it was raining, the Easter Bunny hid the eggs inside. I think Em was a little disappointed about the number of eggs the bunny hid, but I reminded her that this was already her third egg hunt. But next year, maybe he will leave more.

Late morning we headed over to my brother's house to celebrate with my family. Both kids got lots of treats, especially from Mimi and Papa! We stayed for a few hours visiting and having brunch before heading back home. The kids were way off schedule, but we knew they both needed naps, so we put them down when we got home. In fact, all four of us napped when we got home. :) I ended up waking Evan up around 5, so that he would sleep at night. He was still so sleepy though that we put him down for bed around 7:30. It had been a busy weekend, but was so much fun getting to celebrate with all our family.
