Last Friday, Em and I had a special Mommy/Daughter day. Almost a year ago, I had seen that Frozen on Ice was coming to town and I snatched up tickets. I never told Em about it. Fast forward a year and all I told Em was that she didn't have to go to school on Friday, instead we were going to go do something fun with my friend, Michele and her daughter, Haleigh. We didn't tell either girl what we were doing until they figured it out when we got to the show. Em was super excited about the show, but I think she was even more excited about getting to skip a day of school. That's not something she normally gets to do with both Shawn and I working.
Overall, I was really impressed with the show and we had great seats. They pretty much reenacted the entire movie. It was neat seeing how they handled the snow monster, the trolls, Elsa's magic, etc. Watching Em's face was the most exciting part for me though. I loved listening to her sing along with the songs as well. After the show we all went out to lunch before heading home to rest for a little bit and picking Evan (and Normus - Em was zoologist again) up from school. It was a fun day with my sweet girl. It makes me sad that soon she will be in Kindergarten and I can't just take her out of school whenever.
