Halloween Countdown Calendar

I got this great idea from my friend, Steph, to do a Halloween countdown calendar with the kids.  Since Emily's birthday is in October too, it made it even more fun for her to count down the days.  Each day the kids got to take out the popsicle stick for that day and see what was written on it.  There was some kind of activity or treat for each day.  Most were related to Halloween, but there were a few that were birthday related.  I geared all the activities towards Em, but Evan got to participate in a few too.   I think Emily really enjoyed the countdown calendar and it will be a fun tradition to continue each year in October.

Day 1 - Make Halloween bracelets

Day 2 - New Halloween books to read

Day 3 - Make Oreo Spiders

Day 4 - Play Halloween Bingo

Day 5 - New Halloween Jammies

Day 6 - Roast Smores

Day 7 - Make Banana Ghosts

Day 8 - Field Trip to the Pumpkin Patch

Day 9 - Toilet Paper Mummies

Day 10 - Make Witch Hats

Day 11 - New Super Hero Jammies

Day 12 - Make Halloween Rice Krispie Treats

Day 13 - Go to the Pumpkin Patch

Day 14 - Mummy Dogs for Dinner

Day 15 - Pumpkin Craft

Day 16 - Halloween Memory Game

Day 17 - Color Pumpkins

Day 18 - New Halloween Stickers

Day 19 - We took this day off.  Neither kid (nor Mommy) was really in the mood to make cupcakes, which is what was on the calendar for this day.

Day 20 - Fruit Candy Corn (pineapple, oranges, whipped cream)

Day 21 - Emily wasn't in the best mood today and lost Halloween calendar privileges.

Day 22 - Make Halloween Masks

Day 23 - New Halloween Socks

Day 24 - Make Monster Pudding

Day 25 - Trick or Treating at Mommy's office/ Primrose Fall Festival

Day 26 - Emily's Birthday Party

Day 27 - Make a Halloween Cake

Day 28 - Emily's Birthday

Day 29 - Pin the Nose on the Pumpkin

Day 30 - Watch a Halloween Movie

Day 31 - Trick or Treating!
