We're always jam packed in October and last weekend was no exception.
Saturday morning we woke up bright and early! Em had an 8:00 am soccer game, so we were up and out of the house by 7:30. That is not fun on a Saturday morning. . haha. Uncle Kevin, Aunt Julie, Lauren and Nattie came to watch Em play. She scored yet another goal this week. I'm so proud of how well she is doing with soccer! A cold front started coming in right as her game was ending, so it ended up working out well that she had the early game! We went with the Terry's to go eat breakfast after the game and then headed home. Shawn headed out to his friend's ranch for the night, so me and the kids were on our own.
Me and Evan took Em over to Dr G's to get her the flu mist and then came home for lunch and naps. After naptime, I took the kids over to Calloways. They were having a kids fall festival and I thought both kids might like to get out of the house for a bit. By now it was pretty chilly, but they had fun running around. Evan found the perfect size pumpkin and he carried it around the entire time. In fact, he loved it so much we took it home, along with a whole bag of other little pumpkins.
Sunday morning we woke up and played around the house until Shawn got home late morning.
I took Em to a birthday party early afternoon and Shawn stayed home with Evan. Em had a blast jumping on the trampolines at the party!
When we got home, Evan and Shawn were enjoying the Cowboy's game. I dropped Em off and headed back out to go grocery shopping. Normally Shawn does the shopping, but I volunteered so he wouldn't have to miss the game and I enjoyed the kid-free time. When I got home, we took the kids outside to play and Shawn grilled hamburgers. We were definitely enjoying the cooler weather. After dinner, Em got to pick her activity from her Halloween Countdown Calendar (more on that in another post) and it was roasting smores. So Shawn lit the fire pit outside and we all enjoyed smores for dessert before bedtime.
