Conversations With Emily

 - Shawn took Em to soccer practice one night and the girls were all kicking around the ball.  Out of nowhere Emily loudly says "I'm freaking out."  Shawn asked her what made her say that and she said it was because her friend picked the ball up with her hands.  We have no idea where she learned this phrase. . haha.

 - I was driving the kids to school one morning and Evan was being fussy.  Emily was trying to figure out what was making him upset.  She then proclaimed "it's hard being a big sister."  :)  We often say this to her whenever she gets upset with something Evan has done.

 - Usually around bedtime, Emily is trying to stall going to bed.  As soon as she realizes we're starting to get annoyed, she'll snuggle up to me or Shawn and say "I just want to spend all day with my mommy/daddy/family."
