Newborn Photos

As I mentioned previously, we had a photographer come to our house last Friday to take Evan's newborn pics as well as some family pics.  I was a bit worried how Emily and Evan would do, but I really couldn't have asked for better pics!  Emily did awesome!!  We started with the family pics and then gave her a short break before doing the sibling pics.  She was super cooperative and I'm so happy with how the pics turned out.  The photographer was even able to get Evan to fall asleep (something we couldn't get Em to do during her newborn pics).  Towards the end, the photographer took Em outside and did a mini shoot with just her.


And just a funny story. . .Friday morning, without my knowledge, Shawn had promised Em that she could have a cupcake  (our last one in the house) if she cooperated during pics.  Since I didn't know Shawn told her this, I ate the cupcake during the day.  oops.  The funny part is, this is the second time in a week this has happened.   I guess he didn't realize that if he's going to promise Em the last cupcake, he needs to tell me so I don't go and eat it.  :)  I'm home all day staring at cupcakes, who can blame me?  :)  So needless to say, Shawn ran out in the middle of the photo shoot to buy some more cupcakes.   :)
