Emily's Big Girl Room

We had a huge milestone on Saturday night! Emily slept in a big girl bed for the very first time!!  Shawn spent the afternoon converting her crib and re-arranging all her furniture.  Em was super excited about trying out her big bed and I LOVE the way it turned out! I think she actually has more room to play in her room then she did before.  The rocking chair just took up so much room.  We still have some decorations to buy (for her dresser, etc.), but I want to wait until I'm mobile to shop for that stuff.  I already have some things in mind.   It was a little bit sad for me to see her in a big girl bed.   My baby is just growing up so fast.

 I have a picture to hang above her bookcase, I just need to order the frame I want for it first.

This is the new mirror we ordered.  I love how her dresser looks now with the mirror attached.  Hopefully all the diapers and wipes will be gone from her dresser soon.  :)

Once I get off bedrest, I want to add some ribbon behind her 2 bunny pictures.  So then they will look like they are hanging like her "Emily" letters are.

Overall, she did about as good as we could have expected.  We put her down around 8:45 and she woke up about 30 minutes later.  Then woke up 2 more times around midnight.  And once she did come out of her room and wake Shawn up.  He went a laid down with her for about 2 hours, but after her spinning around the bed and kicking him for 2 hours, he left and she didn't make a peep afterwards.  She must have been 1 tired girl because she slept until 8:00 this morning.  I'm hoping each night will get better.
