Emily Lately

Lots to update everyone on as far as what Em's been up to lately.  Friday afternoon Shawn called me from work to tell me school had called him to say Emily got into a fight at school.  Pretty sure the first words out of my mouth were "EXCUSE ME??"  Apparently Em and one of her "friends" were having a little scuffle over a toy and her "friend" bit Em on her leg.  I guess Em was ok, but she had quite the bruise on her little leg.  Em is definitely not an instigator, so while I don't think she was the one trying to get the toy, I most definitely can see her standing her ground and not giving up a toy easily.  I think it's funny that school won't tell us who the child is that bit her, instead they just call them "her friend."  Of course, the first thing Em did when Shawn picked her up was rat out the little boy that bit her. :)  While I never expected to get a phone call about our 2 year daughter getting into a fight, I'm just glad Em was not the biter!

Em continues to do awesome at potty training.  She went all day last Thursday and Friday in panties with NO accidents!  We still put her in a pull up at night, but I'm not too worried about that right now.  Shawn and Em were on the go alot this weekend, so we also stuck with the pull-ups, but she got right back into the swing of things today!  She had 1 accident today, but I'm still so proud of her!  Shawn sets his phone alarm every 30 minutes and now as soon as she hears it she gets excited and runs to the potty!  She's earned lots of money and treats over the last few days.  I had to take a pic of her showing off her money.  :)  I think she earned $3 this night.

She couldn't tear herself away from Caillou to actually look at the camera.

Em continues to do pretty well in her big girl bed.  She definitely has the stalling down!  As soon as Shawn puts her to bed, she comes out to tell us she wet her pull-up and needs to be changed.  She'll usually get up 1 more time and yell out a couple of times before she's good for the night.  There have a been a couple of nights where I wake up to a little visitor on the side of the bed.  She doesn't wake me up, instead she just stands there and stares at me until I wake up.  :)  But overall, I think she's doing really well in the transition to her big bed!
