29 Weeks

•How far along are you? 29 weeks

How big is baby?: He weighs about 2 1/2 pounds (like a butternut squash) and is a tad over 15 inches long from head to heel.

Maternity clothes: All maternity pants and mostly maternity shirts.

•Gender: BOY!! Evan Michael Baxter.

Sleep?: It's been ok this week.  Still getting up often for bathroom trips in the middle of the night.

•Best moment this week?: Putting Em's big girl room together (well Shawn putting it together :) )

Movement?: Tons of movement!

Food cravings?: Bananas and popsicles

Food aversions?: Plain grilled chicken

What I miss: Still a lot at this point.  More than anything, I'm really starting to miss the things that go along with getting his room ready (ie. washing clothes and putting them away and just getting everything where I want it).

Symptoms: I'm starting to reach that uncomfortable stage.  The belly is just getting in the way now. I'm definitely getting there much earlier this go around.  I'm also so hot all the time.

•Milestone: Making it another week with Evan still in my tummy!!!! And surviving my fourth week of bedrest! Also, this is the last week in the "20's" - finally!!

No big nursery update.  Shawn bought a separate changing table for Evan's room and put it together this week.  I realized after seeing the hutch, there would be no way to use it as a changing table too.  I'm continuing to do lots of online shopping, which makes me feel like I'm still able to get some stuff done.

In Em news. . .she's doing pretty well in her big girl bed.  She has definitely learned how to stall going to bed.  After Shawn puts her down she gets out of bed and/or calls out for Shawn several times before finally falling asleep.  Good news is, she's not asking for either of us to lay down with her and once she is asleep she's not waking up at all.  The potty training continues to be a work in progress.  She's been consistently having 1 accident at school and then she fights us with sitting on the potty at home, so we usually end up putting her in pull-ups at home.  I know, I know it's terrible, but this just is a tough time to be potty training.
