Merit Trick or Treating

Yesterday my office had our annual trick-or-treating.  I look forward to this event every year.  It's fun to see everyone's kids and even more fun now that I have a child.  This was my second year to bring Em up and I think she had a great time.  Last year, she wasn't quite walking yet, so I just carried her around.  This year, once she learned she got candy, she was off.  Everybody that doesn't have kids either stands in the hallways or sits at their cube and passes out candy.  She was a little shy walking around all the people, but overall did really well.  And she got a ton of candy!  We walked around with her friends, Avery and Chelsea.  We've had a couple of playdates with them and I hope to continue those in the future.

Em was a cowgirl this year.  We borrowed Lauren's first Halloween costume.  It was one of my favorite costumes of Lauren's, so I was excited that Emily was still able to fit into it this year (it's 12-18 month).  She refused to wear the hat though.  Maybe I can convince her on Halloween to wear it.

I had these blocks on my desk from a training I had been to.  As soon as Em saw them, she claimed them.
