Saturday, Shawn and I attended a wedding for a friend that Shawn has known since high school. The wedding was in Mansfield, which isn't too far from Burleson. Since his parents were so close, we dropped Em off late afternoon to stay with them while we went to the wedding and then we went back and stayed the night at their house. Em had a great time with KK and Grandpa Joe. She didn't get upset at all when we left. In fact, her and KK waved to us as we drove away. I think Em has done great with learning who all of our family is and not being upset when we leave her with them. We got back to their house around 10:30 last night and Em was sound asleep. I was worried how she would sleep after the last time she stayed at KK's and didn't sleep at all. But no worries this time, she slept all through the night in her pack and play and we all got up around 7:30 to KK cooking us a big breakfast.
We hit the road around 9:00 to head back home. We spent the morning just playing inside and letting Daddy watch the Cowboys game. Em was even sporting her new Cowboys tee that Daddy got her, but unfortunately just like last year, anytime Em sports Cowboys gear, they lose. Oh well. There's always next week, right?
After naptime (all 3 of us took long naps this afternoon!) we decided to go out back and play with a fun surprise that I found while cleaning today - some silly string. Em didn't like it sprayed on her, but loved playing with it afterwards!
