First Week in EPSI

Well, Emily made it through her first full week in her new big girl room at school.  Originally she was supposed to spend this week transitioning, but because she did so great the first day, they moved her right away.  She has 3 new teachers, Ms. Amber, Ms. Julie, and Ms. Chelsea.  All of her teachers have said that she's doing great!  They say she's doing really well at drinking out of a regular cup.  We still haven't tried this at home, so I'll take their word for it.  Overall, this transition has been way easier than the last one.  She has cried a little bit each morning that I've dropped her off, but they tell me she stops as soon as I leave and each day when I've picked her up, she's been as happy as can be.  I think she was ready to move up this time.  I'm just not ready for her to be considered an "early pre-schooler"!  However, Shawn and I are enjoying the tuition drop!!!

On another note, Emily and I have been home alone all week.  This week wraps up what feels like Shawn's month long travel schedule.  He comes back tonight!  He tells me this is his last work trip for the year.  Either way, we're glad to have him back!  Of course, everytime Shawn leaves something has to happen to make my time at home with Emily just that much more difficult.  I never expected it to be pinkeye though.  And it's not what you're thinking. . .Emily didn't get pinkeye, I did.  The only place I can think of that I got it was her school.  Last week, there was a note on her classroom door that said it had been going around.  I never thought anything of it until my eye started bothering me on Tuesday and before I knew it, it was bright red.  I went to the dr. and he confirmed it.  Somehow though Emily hasn't gotten it (thank goodness!)
