Turks & Caicos - Day 1

Our friends, Courtney and Grant, invited us to go to the Beaches resort in Turks and Caicos with them.  They have been to the island many times, but this was our first time!  We couldn't wait!

We flew out bright and early the Saturday after school got out (6:00 am).  We had a connecting flight in Ft. Lauderdale before finally landing in Turks around 2:00.  It didn't take us too long to get through customs and be on our way to the resort.

Beaches is broken up into different villages.  We stayed in the Caribbean village, which along with the French village, is the cheapest.  Our room was a pretty standard hotel room which was totally fine by us since we hardly spent any time in it.  We did have a big balcony that overlooked the gardens, with a very small view of the ocean.  We had a great location though.  We were right in front of the waterpark and right next to the Italian Village.

After getting unpacked a bit, we headed straight for the beach.  Oh, that aqua blue water and white sand. . it was just so pretty.

We headed back to the room to clean up for dinner.  There are 22 different places to eat on the resort.  This night we chose Mario's for dinner.  It's an Italian restaurant and this night they had a buffet.  It was all delicious.  I think this may have been all of the kids favorite meal.

We called it an early night since we had all been up so early that day.  We couldn't wait to have our first full day tomorrow.
