Just a few weeks before spring break, I decided it was time to travel. I was tired of sitting at home and I felt like covid was starting to get under control now that some people were able to get vaccinated. I'm not 1 to normally book a spontaneous trip, but that's just what we did. I looked at several places and decided Orlando was the perfect destination. We had enough Hilton points to stay for free at the Hilton Orlando Bonnet Creek hotel and were able to take advantage of us both having companion pass on Southwest. Since we saved so much with free hotel and free flights, we splurged and bought tickets to take the kids to Walt Disney World for 2 days. Since WDW had so many restrictions (ie. no fast passes, park reservations were required, limited capacity) this was probably the 1 and only time we'd ever be able to book a WDW on such short notice.
We flew out on Tuesday and spent the day hanging out by the pool at the hotel and then drove over to Disney Springs for dinner and shopping. It sure felt good to be on vacation!
The next day we had plans to go to Magic Kingdom!
