November Little Things

It was a super busy month for us in November.  I think we were booked up every weekend!  Several of these things could have gotten their own post, but since it's already the end of November, I'm going to cram them all in a recap post.  Get ready for picture overload!

After October being a super rainy month, we took advantage of the dry November days and spent lots of time outside.  Evan especially spent lots of time out in nature.

He caught a baby lizard. . .

and made a home for it.  It lived in it for about 24 hours before it escaped when he opened the lid.

We bought a chiminea and we can't keep Evan away from it.  He's constantly lighting sticks on fire.  .sigh.

We finally wrapped up all the sports.  Everything was supposed to wrap up in October, but due to all the rain and the cold, things didn't finish until November.

These guys came a long way from the beginning of the season to the end.  They played up in the 7UAA division which means it was very competitive.  They only won their last game, but hopefully this will just carry into the Spring season.

The Bulldogs finished up a winning season.  The future of this team is unknown at this point.  Both Coach Jason and Shawn felt like the boys just weren't into it much any more and that made for some very difficult practices. We're not sure if there will be more seasons with this team or not.
I got no pics of Em's soccer team, but this is from her team party.  Her team had a rough year.  They finally won their last 2 games.  We're hoping that winning streak will carry into next Spring.   Oh and this year they changed their name from the Doodlebugs to the Lazer Falcons.  They thought Doodlebugs was too babyish now.

We were the last 4 families standing.  We all have older daughters and younger sons and getting them all to take a decent pic was quite the challenge!

The 3rd graders put on a Veteran's Day program.  Papa Mike attended as a special guest.  Em even got a speaking role.

The kids had their Warrior Run (Fun Run) this month.  It was a cold one!

We attended Lindsay and Sam's wedding.

Emily went to an ice skating birthday party.

Over Thanksgiving break, Shawn took the kids to Sea Life Aquarium, Legoland and Rainforest Cafe with his cousin's family and Aunt and Uncle.

A few random pictures from the month.

One of my friends went to go eat lunch with her daughter at school and sent me this picture.  Grace invited Lana and Emily to sit with them.
Watching TV before bed one night.  About 5 minutes later Evan was sound asleep.

This kid still loves to play with legos!
Little man had fallen asleep this night too.  It's tough being 6!
One night, I told Evan that he couldn't watch the ipad anymore. .so he tried to trick me into thinking he was still watching it.
When I went to turn off his light one night, I saw this.

Congrats if you made it all the way through that post!
