Happy New Year!

We laid low on New Years Eve this year.  New Years Eve with kids is just way different than it was pre-kids.  So different that I was in bed by 10:15.  That's right, I didn't even see the ball drop.  I figured the new year would still come whether I saw it or not.  :)

New Year's Day we celebrated by having all of my extended family over for dinner.  Shawn put a brisket on the smoker around 10 on New Year's Eve and it smoked all night.  We spent the morning getting ready before everyone arrived.  Everyone came over around 3:15 and we all enjoyed some yummy BBQ and our last holiday.  It was back to reality after this!

 As for me I was ready for all of the holiday chaos to be over.  Christmas is fun, but when it continues to last for a week, it can be kind of wearing.  I'm ready to put all the Christmas clutter away and clean out the entire house!  January is always slower for us and I couldn't be happier about that!
