Swim Lessons

Today Em started a month long session of swim lessons at our local indoor acquatic center.  She'll go every Saturday morning for the month of June.  Since she's still so little, it's a parent and child class.  Luckily Shawn was more than willing to do the class with her.  We don't expect her to be swimming by the end.  Instead, we just want her to get more comfortable with the water and maybe realize that she can't swim (she totally thinks she can).  I decided to tag along today to watch, since this might be the only class I make it to. 

Today they learned how to blow bubbles, hold on to the side of the pool, climb out of the pool, jump in and float on their backs.  Em did really well at all of them except blowing bubbles.  We'll have to work on that one a bit more.  She had a blast though and it wore her out!!  I'm so glad that we scheduled the class for June.  I like the idea of knowing that she'll still get "special time" with her Daddy each Saturday morning once Evan comes.
